As Sky Sports writer Anthony Joseph mentions two potential destinations for the forward in an interview with GIVEMESPORT, Celtic are frantically trying to offload Albian Ajeti at Parkhead soon.

In the upcoming days, Brendan Rodgers hopes to offload the forward from his Hoops team.

Albian Ajeti, a recent addition to Celtic
Joseph claims that Ajeti landed in Turkiye on Friday of last week in preparation for a probable £500,000 relocation to Gaziantep. Celtic is eager to sell the 26-year-old as the Turkish transfer window is still open until September 15th, giving them almost two weeks to negotiate transactions with Super Lig clubs.

The Scottish Sun says that a deal may still be on hold as there has been no official confirmation of conversations between Ajeti and Gaziantep authorities since last Friday. Ajeti was acquired by Celtic from West Ham United in the summer of 2020 for $5 million, boosting the front line of then-Neil Lennon ahead of the start of the new Scottish Premiership season

The former Hoops manager was thrilled to welcome the £21,000 per week player, saying (via Sky Sports): “He is a tremendous player, an international with real quality, and I know he is really determined to do all he can to bring more success to our supporters.”

Ajeti, however, has struggled since joining Celtic, and Joseph previously told GIVEMESPORT that Ajeti and midfielder James McCarthy were the only two players on the team who didn’t work in Ange Postecoglou’s system.

What has Joseph said concerning Ajeti and Celtic?
In the coming two weeks, Ajeti may travel to Gaziantep and Trabzonspor, according to Joseph.

According to the Sky Sports reporter, Ajeti’s high salary is the reason Celtic are so eager to offload him. He makes a respectable salary at Celtic and has for his entire career. He had already turned down a few moves away. It would appear that he was content to continue earning this much money this season. But I believe Celtic is hoping he can quickly find a club

“Ajeti has interest from two Turkish clubs. On Friday morning, Trabzonspor and Gaziantep arrived. The latter are at the bottom of the standings, but Trabzonspor have a bit more history. Ajeti will therefore have several possibilities in Turkey. He will cost Celtic a lot of money, but they are pleased to let him go. After purchasing him for $5 million, it appears they are content to accept about $500,000.

What will Celtic do next?
Celtic hopes to build on its 1-0 triumph over Rangers last weekend by continuing its strong play in the Scottish Premiership and the Champions League. In less than two weeks, Rodgers’ team will host Dundee at Parkhead upon their return from the international break in an effort to increase their advantage atop the Premiership. The Bhoys then head to Feyenoord for their first Champions League match, hoping to start their campaign in the top European league with a road point.

The next weekend, Celtic will play host to Livingston before facing Motherwell, Lazio, and Kilmarnock before the second international break of the year.

Rodgers therefore has what could be a pivotal month for the entire season ahead of him at Celtic Park.
