Samy Chouchane has yet to play for Brighton & Hove Albion’s first team, so even frequent Amex visitors might not be familiar with his name.

He joined the Seagulls in 2020, moving from AC Boulogne-Billancourt at the age of 16, rapidly making an impression in the U17s, and is currently playing for the U21s at the age of 19.

The player sat down with Tunisie Foot to talk about his situation at Brighton, his future there, and his hopes of completely representing Tunisia after being called up for the matches against Botswana and Egypt during this international break.

When asked how he ended up moving to England while he was still at ACBB, Chouchane says he was scouted and had several offers to take into account.
“I chose Brighton as one of three offers because I was enticed by the club’s facilities,” he stated. “Brighton had been to visit me and shown an interest. I fell in love with it at first sight and couldn’t stop. The Premier League is very inspiring.

His initial deal, which he signed while rising through the ranks at Brighton, was extended by a year last summer, indicating the club still has ambitions for him.

That makes him happy, and Chouchane discusses his objectives for this year now that Roberto De Zerbi is in charge at the Amex.

Play as many games as you can with Brighton’s first team and raise your stats to win more trophies, he vowed.
