The Toffees have been perilously close to being relegated to the Championship for the past two seasons, and this season, as a direct result of the continued financial problems, a third straight relegation battle is likely to be on the horizon.
New strikers Beto and Chermiti offer some hope, but the offensive pair already under tremendous pressure considering that the £38.7 million transfer budget was primarily intended to bring them to Goodison Park.
