A day ago, I stated that Demarai Gray appeared to have a good chance of remaining at Everton after the club turned down three deadline-day offers for him.

Saudi Arabian teams and perhaps also the French league appeared to have fallen through since they were not willing to pay the Blues enough money for a transfer.

Gray now appears to be leaving Everton and will soon be traveling to the Middle East, where he always looked destined to go once rumors of his departure started.

In my post, I hinted that this was still possible, and it appears that is still the case as sources indicate Gray is nearing a deal to join Saudi club Al Ettifaq

Fresh rumors say that US investment group 777 Partners is once again prepared to invest in the Toffees, in addition to all the confused back and forth regarding the player’s future (including an unpleasant public altercation between Gray and manager Sean Dyche).

As we all know, when MSP Sports Capital came into an exclusive agreement with Everton owner Farhad Moshiri earlier this summer, it appeared that they had defeated their American opponents.

Following this, MSP Sports consented to invest a sizeable sum in the organization, primarily to assist in financing the development of the Blues’ new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock.

There was even talk of raising further funds to acquire a minority part in Everton, but that recently came to a stop, adding to the uncertainty surrounding the club’s financial future.

Now it seems as though 777 Partners is once more in the picture!

The club’s already damaged reputation suffers greatly as a result of the turmoil and disarray, which also adds to the season’s disastrous start in which only one point was earned in the first four games. However, the authorities at Goodison Park have maintained their customary deafening silence throughout the entire ordeal.

We have come to assume that the club’s owner and other key players will never openly explain what is really happening there.

Nobody understands where the club is headed or what the precise plan of action is to turn things around, and the first team appears to be continuously hindered by injuries, poor play, and a lack of talent.
