The transfer window is already closed, and the Wolves squad for 2023–24 is set. However, an intriguing claim about Matheus Cunha has surfaced today.

One of the most tumultuous windows in recent club history has just ended for Wanderers.

A lot of well-known people left.

Six fresh faces eventually entered the room through the door.

Cunha may have been another player to quit the club during the summer transfer window, it has been revealed today.

Cunha was acquired in January under Julen Lopetegui’s supervision on loan from Atletico Madrid.
Then, Wolves paid out £44 million to secure the Brazilian’s long-term contract.

Clubs did express interest in Cunha in the summer, despite the fact that he has only been with Wolves since the beginning of the year.
Clubs undoubtedly learned about Wanderers’ financial problems.

Cunha, however, was never a player Wolves were trying to dump in order to help the situation.
There didn’t appear to be any official bids either.

It’s good news that Matheus Cunha stayed because he’s had a strong start to this season.
The new season has gotten off to a strong start for Cunha.

Despite scoring against Crystal Palace, he wasn’t very good.

But Cunha has been one of the Wanderers’ top performances thus far, and now that Matheus Nunes is gone, he will be even more crucial.

He excels at moving the ball out of midfield and into the final third, as we saw against Manchester United.

After the international break, Cunha should start playing a little more precisely for Wolves.
