Luke Young’s deflected first-half goal for Wrexham was cancelled out by Mo Faal’s first goal for Rovers, briefly shifting the game’s momentum in the visitors’ favor after the restart.

“Credit to us, I think we played some terrific football tonight, in terms of what we are trying to do.
“We did not generate enough chances. We gave them opportunities to surprise us by delivering poorly or making poor choices in the closing third.
“Unfortunately, however, we currently appear to be more of a nearly-team.
We are good-looking, but we do not finish off teams, and that makes me incredibly unhappy because that is not what my teams are about.
In the second half, when we scored the goal, we sat down a bit deeper and lacked the killer instinct, he continued: “We came here with a plan to press and get after them.
“That is something we need to incorporate into this group because I do not believe we already do.
“I believe that today is a learning day for us. We have visited a team that is regarded as being at the top, and I believed we were more than a match for them in every way.
