Prior to the weekend, Anthony Forde and Jacob Mendy will be evaluated by the Wrexham team, according to manager Phil Parkinson.
With a game against Grimsby Town at home on Saturday, League Two action returns to Wrexham.

The two had to be benched by the Welsh team during their most recent match against Doncaster Rovers.

According to a report by The Leader, Parkinson issued the following injury update regarding the pair: “Can we get them both close to being available for selection for the weekend? Jacob suffered a minor hamstring strain in practice following the Newcastle under 21s game last Tuesday even though he wasn’t on international duty. We are only keeping an eye on Anthony, who suffered an Achilles injury toward the conclusion of the game and was also forced to leave.

Wrexham hopes an injury boost will help.
Wrexham would benefit from having Mendy and Forde back and Parkinson would have more alternatives as his squad strives to maintain their momentum. They are unbeaten in their past six league games and have won their last two straight games against Tranmere Rovers and Doncaster.

The 26-year-old Mendy joined the team from Boreham Wood last year, and he was a major factor in the team’s promotion from the National League the previous season. Since then, he has successfully made the transition to the Football League and offers helpful competition for the position of left wing-back.

Forde, meanwhile, has a ton of experience and has participated in over 350 games throughout his career.
