Alan Hutton, a pundit, has responded to reports about Celtic’s alleged top transfer priority moving into the new year.

What are the most recent Celtic transfer rumors?

Following the Northern Irishman’s return to Parkhead, Brendan Rodgers and the Hoops were active in the summer transfer market.

Aside from the League Cup loss to Kilmarnock, things have gone rather well on the field, with Celtic leading the Scottish Premiership after winning the Glasgow derby at Ibrox just before the break.

Celtic added ten new players in total, eight of whom signed long-term contracts for a little under £20 million. Jota’s £25 million transfer to Saudi Pro League team Al Ittihad, along with Carl Starfelt’s departure, left the club in the black, nonetheless.

Despite a successful few months and a large influx of new players, it appears that Celtic Park is already making plans for 2024 and additional recruits.

Caoimhin Kelleher, the goalie for Liverpool, was reportedly a target.

“Kelleher has consistently been terrific every time I’ve watched him play.

He must be anxious to play regular football at this point, I think. Would he fit in well at Celtic? Of course he would, but I feel like Joe Hart has been treated a little too harshly.

Although he has made a few blunders and is not the best at playing the ball with his feet, I believe he has performed well for Celtic.I believe that all of the criticism directed at him has been very severe, but I can understand if Brendan Rodgers wants to play a certain way and is considering other options. I see it and believe Kelleher would be an excellent

Caoimhin Kelleher: Who is he?
Kelleher, 24, has been a player for Anfield since 2015, when he departed the Irish team Ringmahon.

The goalkeeper has made 21 professional appearances for the Reds, keeping 10 clean sheets while doing so, and is now rated at a career-high €12m by Transfermarkt.

He has primarily acted as Alisson Becker’s backup in the Premier League for Merseyside, making appearances in cup games. He has won four more shootouts than any other goalie in Liverpool’s history.

Kelleher may be interested in the prospect of playing regularly for Celtic’s first team as a result, and based on the current state of affairs, a transfer may be something to watch out for.
