A top-six finish must now be Leeds United’s objective, according to Ross McCormack, who complimented the club for their efforts during a “tough” transfer window. McCormack is a former player for the club.

Relegation to the Championship caused the Whites to lose a number of players, and during the summer, there was ongoing speculation over Willy Gnonto and Crysencio Summerville’s futures.

To supplement Daniel Farke’s options, though, Ethan Ampadu, Sam Byram, Joel Piroe, Ilia Gruev, Glen Kamara, Joe Rodon, Jaidon Anthony, and Djed Spence all arrived, the last three on loan.

It was a difficult transfer window, McCormack said in a statement to West Yorkshire Sport Daily [15 September, 2m 57s] regarding Leeds’ transfer activities and their season-long goals.

It was a difficult moment for the management since it seemed like every time you opened a news source, a star player was asking to leave.

“I believe he did a terrific job of bringing in some extremely good guys. I understand his style of play, so if the players adopt it, we’ll be successful this year.

Moving ahead to the end of this campaign, Leeds United has to be in the top six, if they aren’t already, for the last dozen games of the campaign in order to have a legitimate shot at [promotion].

No matter what anyone says, in my opinion, that team should be in the top six based just on their statistical makeup.

Season is begun.

Even though the results thus far have not been all that impressive, there is a general air of optimism at Elland Road now that the dust has settled on the transfer window.

That was helped by adding Piroe, Gruev, and Kamara late in the window; all three are anticipated to play important

With only six points from their first five games, Farke’s team has not had the best of starts, but this two-week layoff has served as a type of reset.

Given that their roster is committed until at least January, United should view their match against bitter rivals Millwall on Sunday, September 17, as the official start of their season.

Over the next three weeks, games against Hull City, Watford, Southampton, QPR, and Bristol City will follow the trip to The Den, so Farke’s preferred shape and lineup should be much evident by then.
