During his official news conference on Friday afternoon, Bologna loaneeexplained why he left the Premier League after just one complete season: a disagreement with Nottingham Forest b Remo Freuler oss Steve Cooper.

Last August, the 31-year-old transferred to Forest for an unknown sum that was reportedly in the neighborhood of €9 million.

Nevertheless, Freuler was permitted to leave on loan at the conclusion of the transfer window despite making 28 league appearances and aiding in the Midlanders’ Premier League survival.

Freuler has maintained his match fitness despite arriving so late in the summer. Most recently, he played both of Switzerland’s games during the break in international play and contributed with a goal in a 2-2 draw with Kosovo last weekend.

“I’m good. I’ve completed all of Nottingham’s training this summer, and I also participated in the friendlies. I haven’t yet participated in any league games, though.

The Swiss international went on to say that his relationship with Cooper had suffered a few setbacks at the season’s end, which finally resulted in his loan to Bologna.

He said, “I don’t think it went terribly in Nottingham. “We achieved our goal of surviving. I only truly missed the final five games of the season from a personal standpoint.

“He [Cooper] made me captain first, and then I’m not really sure what occurred. When I spoke with him, he didn’t clearly describe what was wrong, and by the time we were done, I believe we had slightly different perspectives.
