Things appear to be lot more under control now since the 49ers purchased the team in the summer.
When Andrea Radrizzani keeps putting himself in the spotlight for the wrong reasons, silence is actually comforting.
What is Radrizzani now doing?
A familiar character has dragged Radrizzani into the middle of a developing legal drama, and it’s difficult to go a week without him being at the center of something troubling right now.
Massimo Cellino, the former owner of Leeds to Radrizzani (via Sport Witness), reportedly threatened legal action against the Sampdoria owner this week over unpaid debts dating back to his tenure at the club after Radrizzani took over from Cellino in 2017:
Even in the past, punctuality was lacking; as of right now, the 2023 installment terminated on August 31. I spoke up, but I received no responses. I need the cash for my Brescia.
“How can Radrizzani purchase Samp to rebuild its reputation if he couldn’t even settle his previous obligations to Leeds? It’s embarrassing! I must defend Brescia and myself, so my attorneys are investigating whether action may be taken against Sampdoria’s shares if they are held in his name.
well done In capable hands, Leeds
Seeing these reports immediately triggers memories of the unsettling developments with prior owners from years before, less so with Radrizzani until it ended so bitterly.
But this, along with his musings on social media before deleting his account, makes Leeds supporters even more appreciative that we’re in hands that seem to be lot safer while still having the same aspirations for success.
Even if the 49ers don’t end up being the best owners in the league, their presence puts us in a much better position than Radrizzani being embroiled in scandal once more.
We are also much more stable financially than we were when he was here, as this could have been threatening to us.
