During yesterday’s match between West Ham United and Manchester City at the London Stadium, David Moyes made a novel attempt.

Yesterday’s game ended with West Ham losing 3-1 to Manchester City, but David Moyes and the majority of our supporters were pleased with the manner we performed.

Man City were ultimately simply too good for us, and with the caliber and ferocity of their play, they forced the Hammers back into our own half.

Pep Guardiola’s team is by far the best team on the planet, thus there is no shame in losing to them.

Moyes has acknowledged that he may have erred during the game and cost us the game, though.

After West Ham’s loss against Manchester City, Moyes makes a sincere admission.

After our 3-1 loss to Man City yesterday afternoon, the Scot spoke to the media.

According to WHUFC.com, Moyes also acknowledged that the adjustments he made in the second half didn’t quite have the desired effect.

“When the score was one-each, the game had begun to elude us a little bit, and we wanted to see if we could make some changes, be optimistic, and try and alter it, but it probably didn’t work as well as we’d have liked. We were a little concerned about what he might get away with, but Edson played excellently, and when we took him off, circumstances maybe changed a little. However, we also made changes in an effort to improve things and gain a few more opportunities to perhaps challenge and defeat them. Everyone wants you to play a wide-open game against Man City, but the moment you do it, you run the risk of getting hurt.

West Ham will be alright, and they might even challenge for a top six or seven spot in the Premier League standings, if Moyes equips his club with the desire to defeat the weaker teams this season.
