For the remainder of the Championship season, according to Jon Newsome, Leeds United’s offensive players will pose a threat to opponents.
On Sunday afternoon, Leeds defeated Millwall 3-0 away from home at The Den to move up the Championship standings. Leeds triumphed over Millwall for the first time away from home since 2012, when both teams were members of League One.
The Whites will be aiming to improve on their second league victory of the year, but according to Newsome, the team’s current roster is fantastic.
The former Leeds star emphasized that this season, clubs will be terrified of Daniel Farke’s forward line.
Additionally, he thinks Leeds proved against Millwall that they have the defensive toughness to hold teams at bay.
“The top of the pitch is electrifying, and we’ll frighten the living daylights out of league clubs.
“Whether we are strong enough physically and emotionally on the defensive side has always been a worry.
“I believe we have demonstrated today who we really are.
Leeds will travel once more when they travel to Hull City on Wednesday and then host Watford at Elland Road the following weekend.
