The physicality of the division is the “main difference” Everton winger Arnaut Danjuma has observed since joining the Premier League.
In the summer, Danjuma moved to Everton on loan from Villarreal. Since then, he has appeared in all five of their league games, starting three of them.
The 26-year-old has also played for Tottenham and Bournemouth in the Premier League. He has also competed in the Dutch, Belgian, and Spanish top divisions.
Danjuma said on a Kick broadcast [19 September, 14m 58s] when asked what makes the Premier League different from the others: “The main difference is the physicality.
“The Dutch league is a great location to grow, but you should branch out to grow. The Belgian league is beneficial for building physical qualities.
“I had a great time playing in LaLiga. Every opponent you face in a game has technical skills. In terms of physicality, the Premier League leads the list.
Versatile Danjuma has expertise contrasting the Premier League to other divisions because he has already played for seven different clubs in four different nations.
Even if his Toffees career has gotten off to a terrible start, the Netherlands international has had a decent first year.
In his six appearances across all competitions, he has scored twice and displayed his ability by playing on both wings and across the centre.
Danjuma still has a long way to go before becoming a fan favorite because many Evertonians are aware that he turned down a loan move to Goodison Park in January to join Tottenham.
Those various playing experiences around the continent may prove useful as the season progresses.
