Before Thursday night’s 1-1 draw with Burnley, Nottingham Forest made a shocking news involving Giulian Biancone. Brennan Johnson surely was caught off guard, and he responded on Instagram.
The French defender was anticipated to be loaned out by the Reds to Olympiacos. It was uncertain whether it had gone through because there had been no radio communication since the transfer window in Greece closed.
But yesterday, the club offered some clarification, which did come as a surprise. Biancone is leaving Forest to join Olympiacos, however it has been revealed that the player has now been transferred to the Greek team.
In his 13 months at the club, the teenage defender only appeared on the field three times for the Reds. It should go without saying that his ACL injury significantly impeded his development, and the club has now chosen to let him go.
Around the Forest locker room, Biancone came across as a nice guy. The 23-year-old joined the team during the end of the last campaign and was frequently seen on the field enjoying victories with the team.
Surprise Biancone announcement from Forest
It is definitely shocking to learn this. Biancone was anticipated to leave Forest and play some football, but due to his advanced age, it was assumed that he would only be leased out.
Following his departure, Biancone sent a response to Instagram. On the day of the deadline, Brennan Johnson left Forest and was the first to wish the other person well, saying, “Good luck brother.”
It was obvious that the guy was well-liked by his teammates in the locker room. He was also congratulated by Alex Mighten and Taiwo Awoniyi, who also shared blank posts.
Evidently, Steve Cooper didn’t think Biancone would ever have a significant impact at Forest. Because sister club Olympiacos was eager to take him on, the club did well to sell him.
