After Friday night’s 0-0 draw at Watford on the road, West Brom manager Carlos Corberan was all praise for Jed Wallace.
West Brom earned another point by drawing 2-2 with the Hornets at Vicarage Road, moving them up to fifteenth place.
In Hertfordshire, Baggies midfielders John Swift and Wallace both scored goals.
According to the club’s official website, Corberan stated following the game: “I think that may be a key goal for Jed Wallace. To score goals, athletes must always have confidence. Jed Wallace is a player whose dedication to the team, the group, and the games is unquestionable.
It’s crucial to never lower your levels of effort and commitment because, as humans, things won’t always go as planned all the time. He won’t ever take this action.
“If you put in the effort, you’ll be back at your peak performance level on the field. He played an incredible game in my opinion. His achievement allowed us to make a crucial argument.
praised West Brom star
Given his importance to West Brom and their desire to move up the standings following their draw against Watford, Wallace will be hoped to find some form soon. After only seven games, the division is still highly competitive, and they are only three points out of the playoffs.
It’s the Baggies.
Wallace was quickly acquired by West Brom from their approaching rivals last year on a deal that would extend until 2026, and he has since grown to be one of Corberan’s most cherished possessions. He has made 57 appearances across all leagues so far, contributing seven goals and nine assists.
The former England youth international has played over 450 games in his career to date and was previously signed by Wolves and Portsmouth. He has settled in at the Baggies, and he will be hoping that his goal against the Hornets may give him a boost this season as his team looks to pick up more victories.
