The possibility of playing Manuel Akanji when Nottingham Forest plays Manchester City on Saturday excites Super Eagles attacker Taiwo Awoniyi, according to Soccernet.
This season, the Cityzens have defeated every opponent while only giving up three goals in five games. In contrast, Forest has scored in each of its five Premier League contests this year.
On Saturday, Nigerian striker Awoniyi would probably spearhead Nottingham Forest’s attack and aim to score. He would need to overcome City’s reliable center-back duo of Akanji and Ruben Dias, though. Awoniyi, though, has shown his eagerness to challenge the champions.
“I’ve always thought [football success] will happen. I’ve always put in a lot of effort, prayed about it, and done all else necessary to help me get what I want.
Awoniyi, who has now scored three goals, would like to increase that total and help Nottingham Forest win.
