When Everton and Brentford square off in a Premier League matchup on Saturday, Beto, the Toffees’ striker, could prove to be the deciding factor.

The new £25.75 million summer signing [Sky Sports, 29 August] might “define the outcome” for Everton when they visit the Gtech Community Stadium on Saturday night, according to The Guardian’s opinion piece from the 23rd of September.

Before facing a Brentford team that has only lost once at home in 2023, Everton has struggled to get going this season. In their first five games, they have only earned one point and scored twice.

Despite Everton’s recent problems in front of goal, Booth believes Beto will “carry the fire” and may be the one thing that makes the Toffees successful on Saturday.

The takeover by the 777 Partners consortium, which Dyche thinks won’t have an immediate impact on the game, is not Dyche’s trump card, he said. Beto here.

“The 25-year-old striker has demonstrated he can shoulder the load up front for Dyche after scoring on his club debut in the Carabao Cup, shining without scoring on his league debut at Sheffield United, and being thwarted by Arsenal last time out.

“Given that Dominic Calvert-Lewin is having trouble getting back to the form he had before being hurt, Everton needs to do what Saturday’s opponents have done and revamp their frontline.

“Beto and Bryan Mbeumo’s battles against their respective hardened backlines will determine the result – the latter is still impressive in Ivan Toney’s absence.”

Dyche’s finest chance

Beto has already shown how important he will be to Dyche and the Toffees this year in just two Premier League games for Everton after his late-August transfer.

Beto was their savior against Doncaster Rovers on August 30 in the EFL Cup; he entered the game after halftime and significantly aided their tense comeback victory, delivering a magnificent goal to cap off a well-executed Everton move.

After that, the lightning-quick Portuguese striker demonstrated why Dyche spent the whole £25.75 million on his acquisition with a superb and comprehensive all-around performance in the 2-2 draw with Sheffield United on Saturday (2 September).

Beto made 49 touches during his 90 minutes on the field, four shots, one significant chance created, and six of his nine dribbles completed. He also made a significant contribution to the Everton defense by winning eleven of his total duels and making three clearances. [SofaScore].

Even though he didn’t replicate that performance against Arsenal last weekend, he still did enough to give Everton supporters plenty of hope that he could be the answer to Dyche’s goal-scoring woes.

The 25-year-old, described as “brilliant” by former Premier League striker Ian Wright, has all the makings of a typical Dyche striker and also possesses great speed, which is always a crucial quality for a striker in the Premier League. He has the potential to go on an impressive purple patch soon.

He will be very important versus Brentford.
