It’s never a surprise to see managers resign from their positions early in the season given the strain of promotion and relegation in the Championship.

Since Carlos Corberan departed the team, Huddersfield Town has changed managers several times, and they are currently replacing Neil Warnock.

How come Warnock left?
After miraculously leading Huddersfield to survival the previous season, Warnock managed his farewell game for the club this week before signing a one-year contract and staying for the current season.

Following back-to-back league victories, the veteran manager decided to break ways with the team as the Terriers sought a long-term hire.

Instead of retiring at the age of 74, Warnock wants to continue playing if the chance arises.

Where will Leeds place in the 23/24 year?

favorable news for Leeds?
There will be relief among fans considering Leeds’ record against the journeyman, notwithstanding the potential embarrassment that would result from only losing to a Warnock team in the league this season.

In his managerial career, Warnock has faced The Whites 16 times, at six different clubs: Notts County, Sheffield United, Crystal Palace, QPR, Rotherham United, and Cardiff City.

Leeds has a poor record in those contests, winning just five, drawing two, and losing nine.

The fact that Leeds haven’t gotten even a single point from their previous manager since he was fired from the Elland Road bench is what worries me the most about their recent performance against him.

Twelve goals were allowed in five games against QPR, Rotherham, and Cardiff, which resulted in zero points.

On October 28, Leeds will play the Terriers at Elland Road under new management. This will be the first meeting between the two teams since Marcelo Bielsa defeated Danny Cowley 2-0 in the penultimate game before the 19/20 season was postponed due to COVID-19.
