Record-signing Palmer has started each of his nine League Two games this year, although he was merely a substitute in Saturday’s 5-0 loss at Stockport County due to a lingering knee injury that he has been “managing.”

Ollie has had an injection in his knee, according to Parkinson. “Ollie did some running on Monday to keep him active.” He will take some time to recover, and we hope to have him back in training on Thursday.

He has had a knee issue for a while, so we prepared him for this shot and are sure it will work.

“I am hoping this injection will help him with his problem.”

Palmer scored his second goal of the year at Grimbst, but he was substituted just before the end of the game. At Stockport, he was not risked and only made an appearance in the second half.

Parkinson stated, “Ollie twisted it awkwardly against Grimsby and he managed it a little bit throughout the week.”

“Against Stockport, we did not want to risk him too much, but we had him on the bench just in case.”

Due to a knee issue, veteran goalie Rob Lainton has not played this year and will likely be sidelined for a lengthier period of time.

Rob’s knee is still not improving as quickly as Parkinson would have liked.

He is currently not where he needs to be.

Rob finds it challenging, but perhaps we will see him back on the practice field soon.

Another internal practice game was played by Jordan Tunnicliffe, who has yet to appear in the league this season owing to a back issue, while Eoghan O’Connell, another center back, is expected to resume training this week due to a hamstring injury.

The Reds’ manager continued, “Hopefully Eoghan will be back in full training by the end of the week while Jordan is building up.”

He is making progress, but he has been sidelined for a considerable amount of time due to a back issue, so we must ensure his well-being.
