In a tough effort against Liverpool in the Carabao Cup last night, Enzo Maresca’s new-look Leicester City team was defeated 3-1 on the road.

When Liverpool eliminated Leicester City from the Carabao Cup, the team provided a commendable performance.

Youngster Kasey McAteer gave the Foxes the early advantage, and they held that advantage at the half. However, Liverpool scored three goals in the second half to go on and win the game.

Harry Souttar and Hamza Choudhury put up some great performances for Leicester, but there were also some less impressive ones, including Cesare Casadei, a Chelsea loanee, who once again struggled.

The Italian “struggled” in last night’s game, according to local reporter Jordan Blackwell, who also gave him a 4/10 performance rating.

“Like his previous start against Norwich, the loanee had a difficult evening. Under pressure, he was unable to maintain control of the ball or his feet as the Italian kept slipping.

Leicester have been looking for Casadei all summer. Although it initially seemed unlikely, the Foxes were able to secure a loan agreement for the talented Chelsea youngster.

However, since moving to the King Power Stadium, Casadei has failed to demonstrate why he is so highly regarded. His past two games for the Foxes have been difficult, and both of them ended before the halftime mark.

Casadei and Leicester City Casadei is undoubtedly a talented footballer. After participating in the U20 World Cup in the summer, when he made an impression, and then landing a transfer to Leicester, where midfield competition is fierce, it has been a hard year for him.

It will undoubtedly be challenging for him to surpass seasoned players like Harry Winks and Choudhury for a spot in the starting XI, but it’s simple to overlook the fact that Casadei is still only 20 years old.

If his bad performance at Leicester persists, Chelsea may consider an alternative loan arrangement in January. However, there is a lot of anticipation that Casadei will continue to shine for Leicester City, who play Blackburn Rovers this weekend in the Championship.
