Mark Robins is eager to play again this weekend when his team takes on Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road.

City enters the contest following a 1–1 draw with Huddersfield Town on Monday night, which Robins has reflected on this week.

The City manager emphasized the process and adventure his club is starting as the Sky Blues enter a new era.

The penultimate away game before the break, Robins also anticipated the confrontation with Gareth Ainsworth’s team.

Following Monday night’s outcome, training

“Everyone is OK. At the conclusion of the game on Monday night, it felt like a punch in the gut, but now it’s important to comprehend why things are occurring.

“We had a meeting the other day and discussed many topics, but we move on quickly and the good news is that we have another game coming up, so we can anticipate that.

You don’t linger over it. You see the issue and suggest ways we can improve to try to minimize it, but sports are sports, and ultimately, teams will hurl bodies forward when they’re ignoring safety precautions. As a result, things may occur that wouldn’t have occurred naturally throughout the game, but you still need to react.

The method this season…

“There are a lot of good things happening, but we can’t just look at things and assume that they will happen.

“Things happen without a magic wand. It requires time. This is a procedure. A new age has begun. There is no question about it; it feels like it; it’s thrilling; and it will continue to be exciting, but it will get even more exciting over time.

“It’s just a process, and it’s hard because we want things now, everybody wants things now, but that’s very, very hard to achieve and almost impossible to achieve because there are still so many other clubs at the level that outspend and outperform us,” the author said.

“Across the board, our guys are better than they were before. Who else in the league, outside the two players we lost, was the best?

“You need to think back to when the players that have recently lost or who have moved on initially joined the team.

“Vik wasn’t playing, he wasn’t in the team, and Gus took time to sort of settle and become really reliable because there were a lot of bookings, a lot of suspensions, and a few sendings off.”

The team’s adventure currently…

“We all understand each other. When we started, we were aware that this would be the outcome, but when we reached the playoff finals, we were very surprised.

“We’re not starting over entirely, but we are beginning a new process. There is no denying that I am really pleased with the players we have at our disposal. Probably a few more were required.

The truth is, we can’t do it, and I said as much from the beginning. It’s challenging to do so, and injuries have contributed somewhat as well, as you can’t really get going as much as you’d like to unless you’ve got everyone involved right now.

We are exactly where we are and basically where we anticipate it to be. Even yet, I had hoped for more victories for us in terms of

How Ellis Simms has done since arriving…

To be fair to Ellis, he had missed training, wasn’t familiar with the club, and was attempting to navigate a new atmosphere with unfamiliar rules when he first arrived.

He was seeking for a new home and wanted to relocate to the region, which he has since done.

“He had a minor injury to his toe, which prevented him from striking the ball as well as he normally can, but those issues have already been resolved.

“It’s fantastic how a little bit of being excluded fired him up. He faces competition from a variety of sources, yet he persists and is a truly wonderful kid.

He’s young—only 22 years old—and still undergoing a lot of development. He’s still a little raw, but he’s powerful, willing, and capable of being a big threat, without a doubt.

A report on injuries

“There are a few more encouraging indicators. I guess I’m hopeful about that.

“For them, tomorrow is too near. But starting the following week, we might start to notice one or two returning.

Taking on Queens Park Rangers…

There are eight points for them. We agree with them on these issues. They have a pretty strong team, and they play differently.
