Glasgow Rangers are in need of a new manager, and it appears that they are casting a wide net in their search for someone to take Michael Beale’s position.

Indeed, the Ibrox team is searching the world for goalkeepers who are up to the task, with every goalkeeper from Australia’s Kevin Muscat to England’s Frank Lampard being considered.

Intriguingly, a European choice is currently being discussed.

Oliver Glasner has indeed put himself out there as a potential candidate for Rangers, and it’s said that he’s eager to take this job, according to The Daily Record.

Glasner would be, to put it mildly, a very intriguing addition for Rangers.

Not too long ago, the 49-year-old’s reputation in the game was very high. He defeated the Scottish giants in Seville to win the Europa League with Frankfurt in 2022, breaking many hearts at Ibrox, as Rangers fans would remember better than anybody.

Glasner may have tormented Rangers in 2022, but he might now turn out to be their savior.

He is a brilliant coach who has accomplished great things in Europe in the past, and he might be the perfect fit for Rangers.

That’s how good of a manager Glasner is—his success with Frankfurt even led Tottenham Hotspur to consider him as a summer possibility before they ultimately chose Ange Postecoglou.

If Rangers were able to pull this off, it would be somewhat of a coup, and Glasner’s interest in the position is a good indicator.

There are now many excellent choices, but in our opinion, there aren’t many managers with Glasner’s resume who are currently so readily accessible for Rangers.

As the Rangers look for someone to replace Michael Beale, this is unquestionably a situation to keep an eye on.
