Journalist Haldun Domac claims that West Ham is very interested in signing Galatasaray winger Kerem Akturkoglu.

According to the Turkish journalist, the Hammers have joined a number of other teams in their pursuit of the dynamic 21-year-old winger who has been in outstanding form this season. He says Jarrod Bowen, who Liverpool has had their eye on for a while, might be able to be replaced by Akturkoglu.

There have been rumors that if Mohamed Salah departs the team, the Reds might try to sign Bowen. Even if Salah left, Liverpool has not yet formally approached the Hammers forward, and they are probably unlikely to do so.

“Kerem Akturkoglu is certainly wanted by West Ham United. Even more rumors claim that Kerem Akturkoglu will transfer to West Ham and Jarrod Bowen will join Liverpool in place of Mohamed Salah, according to Domac.

“Kerem’s contract is valid through 2026. Additionally, he has Spanish and Italian suitors. Kerem is certainly progressing swiftly, as is evident.

Unlikely

Bowen is content with his situation at West Ham, and he recently signed a new deal that will keep him there through the year 2030.

The England international wants to become a club icon, and it appears that the Hammers won’t lose him unless they receive a hefty transfer bid akin to the one they got for Declan Rice.

Under David Moyes, Bowen has developed into an important player for the Hammers, and the team did a fantastic job of safeguarding his long-term future.

However, it does not follow that the Hammers won’t be able to sign Akturkoglu soon. The Turkish winger has four goals and four assists for Gala across all competitions, and David Moyes has every reason to be closely monitoring his development.

He cannot serve as a direct substitute for Bowen because he primarily plays as an attacking left winger. Before the Bowen transaction was made public, the journalist most likely had suggested the transfer move.
