In order for Tottenham Hotspur to contend for the Premier League championship, Brad Friedel discloses the transfers they must make.
The club’s rapid start under Ange Postecoglou has been discussed by Brad Friedel, a cult icon at Tottenham Hotspur, but he still thinks they might need a few transfers in the upcoming transfer windows.
Spurs have yet to suffer a league defeat this year and are ready to mount a surprise title assault. However, there are some evident shortcomings in the current lineup and we have had some close calls in specific games.
This season, Postecoglou has inspired confidence in both the players and the supporters. The onus is now on all parties involved to make sure we can maintain the momentum and continue on to have a successful season. As the January transfer window draws near, Daniel Levy and company would be wise to give Postecoglou more resources to complete the task.
Friedel thinks that Tottenham’s fortunes could change as a result of two important arrivals. Speaking to Betway through 90min (h/t Football.london), he noted that when the games are coming thick and fast, a reliable goal scorer can help relieve some of the pressure off Richarlison and Son Heung-min.
Tottenham’s loss of Harry Kane was a major setback, and we have yet to find a capable substitute for the English captain. We have the chance to bolster the team in preparation for the second half of the season during the summer transfer window. Having strength in the position will benefit us in close games since goals win games.
The same is true of our backup choices. The back-guard has been given more vitality and dynamism thanks to Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven. The quality, though, declines below them in the center-back hierarchy.
A strong third-choice center-back, in Friedel’s opinion, will not only help with rotation but also provide Postecoglou choices for better player management. The adage “strength in depth” is true, and Tottenham may use some help with it during the upcoming January transfer window.
Football games are won in large part by momentum, although rotation is crucial when the action happens frequently. Tottenham has a strong starting lineup, so attention should now be paid to strengthening the bench in the upcoming transfer windows.
