The 32-year-old Belgian, who left Real Madrid at the end of last season without agreeing to join another team, declared his retirement from soccer earlier this week.

Hazard had a fantastic time at Chelsea from 2012 to 2019, but had a less-than-stellar stint at Real Madrid after his high-profile transfer to the Santiago Bernabeu, appearing in just 76 games over the course of four seasons and scoring seven goals.

Despite his recent struggles with health and form, Hammers boss Nolan believes he still has what it takes to compete at the highest level and would love to give him a shot at West Ham.

Given that Hazard doesn’t even turn 33 until January, the former star for Bolton predicts that he will be persuaded to come out of retirement at some point in the upcoming months.

“I’d have Chelsea’s Hazard at West Ham,” Tells talkSPORT, Nolan. I mean, I’d be more than willing to if he wanted to come and testify. Regarding David Moyes, the manager, I know nothing. However, I would like to give him a try.

He participated in and scored on some of the best seasons in Premier League history.

In all honesty, I find it disappointing that he has opted to retire at the age of 32 since I think a player of his caliber could continue to compete at the highest level for many more years.

“I wouldn’t be shocked if we saw a slight reversal on that in the next six to twelve months.”

At 32, I simply believe that he is upset about his retirement. I can well recall one instance when [Paul] Scholes did that. Then Sir Alex Ferguson gave him a call, and he said, “Oh yeah, I’ll be back,”

“I just believe that Hazard could experience something similar to that because someone is probably willing to give him the chance to say “go ahead, come in and play for us for six months”.”
