Brendan Rodgers had a fruitful first summer back at Celtic as he swiftly got to work putting his own stamp on the Premiership-winning team he had taken over from Ange Postecoglou.

The departure of the well-liked Australian was a disappointment for Celtic supporters. However, despite the mixed reactions to Rodgers’ return, the Hoops’ good start to the season has led to a seven-point lead over rival Rangers.

Luis Palma, a winger from Honduras, Nat Phillips, a defender for Liverpool, and Maik Nawrocki, a center back from Legia Warsaw, were just a few of the intriguing additions Rodgers made to his squad over the summer.

The growth of the team in league and cup competitions is the main emphasis, but Rodgers must also make some difficult decisions about some members of his team as their contracts at Celtic Park are about to expire.

 2024: Nat Phillips

The Liverpool defender’s loan deal with Celtic will expire next summer – and there is said to be no option to convert that into a permanent switch.

David Turnbull

The former Motherwell midfielder as three goals in seven games so far this season and will hope to agree a new deal before his current contract comes to an end next summer.

Paulo Bernardo

The Benfica midfielder’s season-long loan deal expires in May – although Celtic are believed to have an option to convert the deal into a permanent switch.
