West Ham want to make three January signings when the transfer window opens as Tim Steidten looks to continue his good work, according to 90min.

The Hammers brought in four first-team players during the summer as they signed Edson Alvarez, James Ward-Prowse, Dinos Mavropanos and Mohamed Kudus following their Europa Conference League win.
But the club are now keen to add a left-back, central midfielder and a striker in January as Steidten looks to continue building the squad in his image alongside manager David Moyes.
“A new left-back, midfielder and centre forward is understood to be on West Ham’s January wish list, with Steidten looking to build on a summer recruitment drive that saw Mohammed Kudus, Edson Alvarez and James Ward-Prowse join the Europa League hopefuls,” they wrote.

If you asked West Ham fans what the missing pieces in the squad were right now, it would be close to unanimous that these are the three positions we really need.
Right now our left-back options are Emerson Palmieri, who is excellent, but then after him we only have an ageing Aaron Cresswell who wanted to leave in the summer and filler options in Ben Johnson and Thilo Kehrer who aren’t naturals.
In midfield we have strong options in Alvarez, Ward-Prowse, Tomas Soucek and Lucas Paqueta but the Brazilian has a well-documented release clause next summer and having a bit more depth in the position would help with any injuries or loss of form.

Up front Michail Antonio is ageing and struggling with injuries while Danny Ings has been a poor bit of business since arriving from Aston Villa last January, so a better quality option with an eye on the long-term would be fantastic.

It’s good to see that the club and fans are in alignment wth that, and this is an exciting time to be a Hammer.
