A ticket allocation of 3,000 for Stoke City’s away game against Coventry City in the Championship next month has stunned supporters, though.

Stoke fans were shocked to learn that Coventry City would charge them £37 plus a £1 booking fee to sit in the away section for their Championship match at the CBS Arena next month.

Although there is a £30 maximum on away tickets in the Premier League, fans are dissatisfied with the prices that have been released this week. However, the price has been creeping up. Last weekend at Leicester and the week before at Bristol City, an away ticket cost £35 each. Huddersfield Town set the lowest ticket at £25 while it was £27 at Millwall, £28 at Ipswich, and £31 at Norwich. The league has seen a range of prices thus far this season. At the bet365 Stadium, Stoke charge visitors £25 admission.

At Coventry, tickets for spectators under 18 cost £25 plus a £1 booking fee. Under-11s at Stoke may get a season ticket in any stand at the bet365 Stadium for £23 dollars.

Malcolm Clarke, the chairman of the Football Supporters’ Association and a Stoke fan, believes that the upcoming appointment of an independent regulator will assist address the issue of how much money being spent on sports.

The FSA is against these outrageous charges, he declared. It stems in some ways from the issue with revenue in the sport and the stark disparity between the Premier League and the others. While Championship clubs are attempting to enter the land of milk and honey, Premier League clubs can afford to keep ticket prices at or even lower than that. This is one of the effects of the Premier League’s failure to give the EFL extra funding.

“The Government has increased pressure recently, but no agreement has been reached. Hopefully, the new regulator will bring about a more sane regulatory environment.

“At least for Stoke fans, the club offers discounted coach transport to away league games, which lessens the blow a little bit, but other clubs do not do that. While we acknowledge the larger issue and hope for a swift resolution, we call on all Championship clubs to implement some sort of maximum pricing.

Steve Pointon, a Stoke supporter, had wanted to travel with his two kids to see the team play.

For those with children and even an average wage, he declared, “This is simply just not affordable.” There are frequently complaints about the cost of the tickets, but something needs to be done in this situation. Simply said, this is a disgrace. How is anyone supposed to pay for this?

Robin Evans, who traveled with England and Stoke throughout Europe, shared Robin’s disappointment.

“The under-18s price is scandalous,” he remarked. “The adult price is bad enough considering we charge them £25.” You’d think they were pricing out their own next generation of supporters since the price is the same everywhere in the stadium.
