In August, Nottingham Forest gave Sam Surridge permission to depart the organization permanently, and last night, he scored goals. Nashville defeated New England 3-2 thanks to the dazzling brace from the gifted attacker.

During his tenure at the City Ground, Surridge was a well-liked character. In 2021/22, he contributed significantly to the Reds’ promotion by scoring eight goals in the Championship.

The 25-year-old was a well-liked member of the Forest team, but he struggled to get regular football. He did score in the Premier League last year, in a 1-1 tie with Bournemouth.

Nashville’s Surridge scores twice.

The man Forest decided to sell is thriving in the United States. He has participated in 12 games for the team, contributing to his new employers with two assists and five goals.

He played well last night as Nashville defeated New England in a sold-out game. He used his sidefoot to sweep a beautiful finish into the corner of the net for one of his goals.

At Forest, Surridge developed a habit of using that method to score. He won over the crowd with some spectacular finishing, and his hat-trick against Swansea in a 5-1 victory will live long in the mind.

Forest made the right decision to dump Surridge at that time.

Losing players who give their all each and every time they step onto the field is always a pity. Nevertheless, Surridge didn’t seem to be a very dependable starter in Premier League games, with Steve Cooper favoring other alternatives.

From the perspective of the Forest, letting Surridge go was essential. He would ultimately fall below Taiwo Awoniyi, Chris Wood, and Divock Origi in the hierarchy because they needed to get players off the books.

Surridge nevertheless merits congratulations in light of his stint at Forest. It’s fantastic to see him score goals, and Nashville scored a major victory by luring Surridge away from Forest.
