It has been instructed to “stupid” Nicolas Raskin to keep quiet and to keep his plans to leave Rangers for the English Premier League to himself.

Former Celtic striker Frank McAvennie stated Raskin will alienate the supporters with such absurd accusations in an exclusive interview with Football Insider. The 22-year-old described his desire to play in the English top division in an interview with La Tribune, as reported by footballscotland (13 October), and said that the Glasgow giants are “just a stage” in his journey to the English top division.

Although the midfielder joined the Gers in January of last year and has already made 27 appearances for the Scottish team, he is failed to score.

Raskin’s statements baffled McAvennie because he had done nothing on the field to support them. “You cannot say that, the fans will not accept it, shut your mouth,” he said to Football Insider.

No one should use rangers as a stepping stone. Before he begins mouthing off, he needs to demonstrate it on the field because if he can’t do it in Scotland, he most certainly won’t be able to do it in England.

“The fans will support you if you demonstrate on the field that you are better than you believe yourself to be and that you care about them and the team.

The clubs in England won’t want you if you aren’t doing it in Scotland, so if you aren’t doing it on the field, it’s just silly.
