Destiny Udogie was signed by Tottenham from Udinese in 2022, and they permitted him to spend the previous season on loan.

Since joining the north London club, the 20-year-old has had an amazing journey and has started each of the season’s eight league games. He made his Italy debut earlier this month thanks in part to his performances for Spurs.

According to Messaggero Veneto, those who have followed the new Tottenham player’s career were not surprised by his “outburst” at Wembley during Italy’s loss to England.

Because of his season-long performances, Luciano Spalletti decided to select the left-back in the group for the national team.
August saw the appointment of Spalletti as Roberto Mancini’s replacement. Messaggero Veneto says that Udogie “deserved it already” while he was playing for the Serie A squad, and that Mancini “had not even considered” Udogie for the senior team. The publication goes on to say that Udinese has not been able to “adequately” replace the Tottenham defender, who is “terribly missed.” In the most recent transfer window, the Serie A team brought in Jordan Zemura in his place, but according to reports, Zemura isn’t as good tactically as Udogie.
