News about Tottenham as Gareth Bale announces a change in his transfer stance following the summer’s rumors of an unexpected move to Wrexham and connections to Arsenal.

Gareth Bale, a former attacker for Tottenham, has discussed his chances of ever joining Arsenal. Despite Wrexham, a League Two favourite, urging him to change his mind, the 34-year-old retired from football earlier this year and has since dedicated most of his time to playing tennis and golf.

He ended his brief stint in America with Los Angeles FC shortly after the World Cup in Qatar, capping off an illustrious 15-year playing career. Bale only played 21 more club games before hanging up his boots after returning to Tottenham for the 2020–21 season, where he scored 16 goals but fell short of his best years.

“After careful and thoughtful consideration, I announce my immediate retirement from club and international football,” he wrote on the internet in January. “I consider myself extremely lucky to have fulfilled my dream of participating in my favorite sport. I have had some of the greatest experiences of my life because of it. No matter what awaits me in the next chapter, I will never be able to top this greatest of highs that spans 17 seasons.”

That was far from the end for Bale, though, as the Hollywood duo spent the majority of the summer engaging in a comic back-and-forth with Ryan Reynolds and Rob McIlhenney, the owners of Wrexham, as they made bold attempts to try and convince the Welshman to return. However, their efforts ultimately proved fruitless, as the former Real

But in recent years, Bale has been linked to yet another return to the Premier League, with former Arsenal goalkeeper David Seaman having previously called for a move. Bale stated on the Seaman Says podcast prior to his departure from Real Madrid in 2022: “I was going to say Arsenal, but I just realized he [Bale] played for Tottenham.” I would have him all to myself, all day.

“He’s a top-notch player, no question about it. When he returns, he hopes to play in the Premier League. It’s encouraging to see such quality, particularly in his free-kicks. It’s not just his free kicks; it’s also how he delivers them, how he crosses in free kicks and corners. Like James Ward-Prowse, that is.

Similar to Eden Hazard earlier in the month, Bale surprised a lot of people by deciding to retire at a young age, and as a result, he is still frequently questioned about his possible comeback to the game. Bale participated in a star-studded season premiere on Sky’s A League of Their Own, marking yet another step away from football.

Bale was in the cast of the first episode of season nine, which included comedian Romesh Ranganathan, Micah Richards, Jamie Redknapp, and Jill Scott. He created a lot of memorable moments. But one particular exchange stood out: Bale was asked if he would ever think about signing with Arsenal.

No. Nevermind. Unreal,” he answered. Bale had previously acknowledged that as a child, he had a soft spot for the Gunners. When he was in Spain, he said, “I used to watch Arsenal a lot and I really enjoyed watching people like [Thierry] Henry.”

“I also enjoyed watching Dennis Bergkamp in the past. Tottenham supporters won’t be pleased that I am holding this, but they had a fantastic team! [A shirt from Arsenal bearing Henry’s name].”

Nope. Oh well. Unbelievable,” he replied. Bale had previously admitted that he harbored fond memories of the Gunners from his youth. In Spain, he declared, “I used to watch Arsenal a lot and I really enjoyed watching people like [Thierry] Henry.”

“I used to like watching Dennis Bergkamp as well. I know this will not sit well with Tottenham fans, but they had a great team! [A Henry-branded shirt from Arsenal].”
