Everton have seen five of their fixtures in December and January moved after the Premier League announced the latest games selected for live television broadcast

Five of Everton’s Premier League fixtures over the festive period have been rearranged.

The Blues will begin the month of December as planned with a trip to Nottingham Forest on Saturday, December 2 (5:30pm kick-off), though have seen the scheduled home meeting with Newcastle United on Tuesday, December 5 moved to Thursday, December 7, with a start time of 7:30pm. This match will be shown live on Amazon Prime.

Sean Dyche’s side were then due to be in action on Saturday, December 9 when hosting Chelsea at Goodison Park, though this has also been adjusted and will now commence at 2pm the following day on Sunday, December 10 and will not be on television. Everton’s trip to Dyche’s former club, Burnley, has remained on Saturday, December 16 but has a new, later start time of 5:30pm to accommodate being selected for Sky Sports coverage.

The biggest change of all is the fact Everton will not have a Boxing Day fixture this year. The Blues were set to host Manchester City on this date, though it has been decided this fixture will be shifted to Wednesday, December 27 for Amazon Prime to broadcast. The match will kick-off at 8.15pm.

One confirmed adjustment for January has also been announced, impacting the home clash with Aston Villa. This will be played on Sunday, January 14, at 2pm, instead of the original plan for Saturday, January 13, and will be shown live on Sky Sports.
