We are excited to have Aston Villa podcaster Ty Bracey join us as our exclusive columnist. Every week, he will share his thoughts on the club’s most talked-about topics.

Despite being open to a move prior to Unai Emery’s arrival, John McGinn will spend “the rest of his days” at Aston Villa, according to Ty Bracey. West Ham United expressed interest in the Scottish international, who was reportedly feeling a little uneasy at Villa Park following his bad performance under Steven Gerrard, according to The Athletic on October 24.

Even though he is now among the Spanish team’s most frequently utilized players and the captain, it seems highly unlikely that he will leave at this time. While Villa supporters now find it impossible to picture their team without the 29-year-old, McGinn’s skepticism was probably greatly influenced by Emery’s arrival on the team.

Although McGinn would have probably stayed at Villa Park either way, according to Bracey, he is now expected to stay at Villa for the majority of the remainder of his career.

Bracey said exclusively to Villa News, “Under Gerrard, we were playing frustrating football. Before Emery took over, we weren’t getting the desired results and were heading for relegation.

Although he wasn’t comfortable, I don’t believe he would have had the choice to leave. John McGinn probably stays at Villa for the rest of his life, or at least until the end of his career, in my opinion.

“He still has a good few years left in him.”
