Ange Postecoglou is testing out a “NFL-style approach” to coaching at Hotpsur Way, according to The Standard.
It is explained that, similar to what you see in the NFL, Postecoglou has assigned different members of his coaching staff to oversee different areas of the team. Chris Davies is in charge of all sessions, with Matt Wells and Mile Jedinak handling the defensive organization and Ryan Mason handling the attacking side. Because of this, the players don’t often hear from Postecoglou very much during the week. In fact, the Australian even lets his staff run certain meetings so the players won’t grow tired of him.
At the Spurs, Ange Postecoglou is adopting an NFL strategy.
According to the report, Postecoglou does not control the training field like his predecessors, Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte, did. The report claims that there is no denying that the 58-year-old is the most significant individual at the club, despite the possibility that he may not be as involved during the sessions.

It’s clear that Postecoglou tries to stay in the background during meetings and training sessions in order to keep a certain aura with the players. This way, when he does speak to the team directly, the messages will have even more impact.
