A student from COLEG CAMBRIA is ecstatic about his debut with the Wrexham AFC.
The 17-year-old Harry Ashfield has been a member of the Red Dragons since he was six years old. The city-born, roaming midfielder was overjoyed to be named in manager Phil Parkinson’s starting lineup for the 0-3 EFL Trophy victory against Crewe Alexandra at Mornflake Stadium. Harry, a Yale-based Level 3 Sports learner at Cambria, was even happier to be substituted in for his senior debut in the 89th minute.
With the club’s current global prominence and the support of Hollywood owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, the former Darland High School student is focused on becoming a regular member of the team after his brief taste of fame. This was a huge moment for me because my dream is to play professional football with Wrexham AFC,” he stated. It was a surprise to me to enter the game, but it was also unquestionably one of the highlights of my life. I’ve been training with the first team for the past few years, and it’s been incredible. Given everything that’s happened on and off the pitch, it’s obvious that things have been hectic.

“It was incredible, my dad was there to watch me play against Crewe, and my whole family is ecstatic, we are all club fans.”
He is currently in his last year at the college and plans to continue making appearances for a long time, possibly even making his debut at the STōK Cae Ras. Harry remarked, “I’ve enjoyed my time at Cambria. Balancing my studies with the football has been challenging, but I’ve managed it and had a lot of support. After playing in the team’s victory and making my debut, I’m more hungry than ever and will devote all of my attention to football going forward. Aloha

“We are all incredibly proud of Harry; he has successfully balanced his time between practising and playing for the youth team, and we have no doubt that he will have an incredible football career.”
