Aaron Aby, an MMA fighter from Wrexham, has been preparing for his fight against Elias Garcia for the OKTAGON MMA flyweight world championship.

Alongside current Wales captain Aaron Ramsey, he played football for Wales’ age-grade national teams during his childhood. Aby is a lifelong supporter of Wrexham AFC and was a youth team player for the club for a brief period of time after growing up in Wrexham. One of Aaron’s sponsors for the event is Wrexham AFC player Ollie Palmer’s WXM Clothing. The Red Dragons’ number nine paid a visit to Aby’s training camp last week to offer his support.

Palmer remarked, “It’s been great to come down here today,” regarding the trip. This is an amazing facility that Aaron deserves and needs. We just want as many people as possible to know how good he is at fighting, but also what a great person he is and everything he’s been through. He’s a huge inspiration to many people from the area.” Naturally, we wish to assist in telling his story. In addition to supporting Aaron and pushing for him, sponsoring Aaron for the fight is about assisting the people of Wrexham and the UK as a whole.

It’s incredible if even one person can benefit from his story. In addition to being an amazing fighter, he is in a position to be able to do that because of the experiences he has had.

Palmer acknowledged that sparring with Aby on the pads during the trip was a bit of a shock to the system. Even after spending a few minutes together on the pads today, I’m still having trouble breathing,” he remarked. That is an alternative level of fitness. You have to be extremely fit and dedicated to do this; I get tired wrestling my mate for two minutes at home, so going five rounds is incredible.

“He’s going to go into it fully fit and focused on bringing that belt home because he’s worked so hard and knows he won’t be handed anything on the night.”

Palmer mentioned that everyone on the team has been closely monitoring Aby’s progress and that he is not the only one at the Club who is aware of his story. Every boy in the club is familiar with Aaron; they are aware of his background and his goodness. Because this community has benefited us both, we are both aware of its great qualities. I’ve only been in this area for a year and a half, but the people have been incredibly welcoming to me. The experience of getting to know the people and the

I know he appreciates that, and I’m sure a lot of people in the UK will be supporting him. Aaron expressed gratitude to Palmer, 31, for being a part of his journey and praised their relationship. It’s always appreciated to have a local connection like the one I have with Ollie, and it means a lot to have someone like him along the way. It’s been great to have him down today because I’ve spent my entire life in Wrexham, growing up with the town and the football club, and that’s a big part of who I am today. The entire team at Wrexham AFC wishes Aaron the best of luck in his championship matchup with Elias Gracia
