Moussa Diaby led rampant Villa to their 12th straight home Premier League victory, and Unai Emery thinks the best is yet to come.
With a 3-1 victory over Luton Town, Villa maintained their fifth-place standings in the standings. Diaby, the club’s record-breaking £43 million acquisition, scored for the first time in over two months. After moving from Bayer Leverkusen to the English game, Emery thinks the France international is still getting used to it and still has room to improve.
“The adaptation is a long time,” he remarked. His teammates’ adaptation to our concept requires time and effort because our demands are lengthy. We are working with him both individually and collectively, and the process is proceeding on schedule. He holds a position that allows him to connect with Ollie Watkins.” We have to take our time because that is a process that is being built.
Captain John McGinn was spot on as well. Tom Lockyer, the opposing number, then put through his own net before a late own goal by Emi Martinez gave the visitors a point.
“There is still more to do,” Emery continued. More than ever, I want to foster a positive environment with our fans.
