After suffering two crushing back-to-back losses, the most recent of which was a 4-1 loss at Leeds United, Huddersfield Town is currently dealing with a spiralling injury crisis that now includes Jack Rudoni.
Despite having been one of the team’s bright spots during a somewhat disappointing season thus far, the star attacking midfielder is now seeking a break from the team. As the Terriers attempt to escape the drop zone, manager Darren Moore is observing an overcrowded medical facility, which does not help his cause. Despite having only one victory in their previous eight games, they are currently one spot above the relegation zone.

Huddersfield is grateful that the teams below them, Rotherham United, Sheffield Wednesday, and QPR, are not currently posing a threat to gain ground. That one victory came against the miserable Queens Park Rangers.
The Terriers have suffered a severe blow with the news that Rudoni will be sidelined for several weeks, as reported by Yorkshire Live. When they went on a brief winning streak of five games, it did appear as though they had turned the corner, but the recent string of poor performances has brought the black clouds back.
January will need to see reinforcements, but the window is extremely short given the absence of multiple important players. Danny Ward, Josh Ruffels, and David Kasumu are all close to returning to the first team, so Moore will soon have some players back. However, for the time being, one must muddle through.

A Huddersfield team will feel a great loss without Jack Rudoni. In addition to being their most dangerous offensive threat, he has contributed three goals, second only to Michal Helik, the central defender, who has four. The games against Sunderland and Southampton, which follow a home match against Watford and a trip to Hull City, will be difficult to come by in the upcoming month.
Although Darren Moore has experienced difficult times in the past, he will be put to the test in the upcoming weeks in an attempt to prevent a full-fledged relegation fight come January 1. Losing your most dynamic player won’t help; in order for the team to start scoring points once more, unity must be achieved.
