The new Gers boss has had a sizeable headache since taking the job

The “biggest puzzle” of Philippe Clement’s career, he says the Rangers’ injury problems are, but he also says there is work being done to solve them.

With players like Todd Cantwell, Tom Lawrence, and Danilo Mong sidelined due to injuries, the Belgian replaced Michael Beale in the dugout. To make matters worse, Borna Barisic hobbled off early in his first game as manager. Ryan Jack, Kemar Roofe, and John Souttar are some others who have received medical attention.

The manager has now confirmed that Nicolas Raskin, along with John Souttar, will miss tomorrow’s match against Dundee due to an injury sustained during Sunday’s victory over Hearts. The manager of the Gers acknowledges that he is having the worst headache of his life due to the increasing number of absentees.

The 49-year-old has also suggested he knows exactly what has caused the spate of injury problems.

When asked about injuries, specifically mentioning Raskin, Clement said to Sky Sports, “It’s quite a puzzle.” Considering all the injuries and player falls, it’s the biggest puzzle I’ve ever seen.

“John Souttar’s injury to his muscles will also prevent him from playing in the game. Not very large, but it’s not included in the game.

“So up until now, we’ve had a lot of players who weren’t available and some who dropped out in the last few weeks. In order to have a larger roster available in the upcoming weeks and months, it will be crucial to monitor each player’s minutes meticulously and work to improve their physical health and toughness.”

When asked if he had identified the problem, he replied, “Yes, but not for you guys. That’s a matter for the club,” I said, adding that efforts are being made to make things right.
