The Yorkshire Evening Post reports that there is optimism that Daniel Farke will provide positive news regarding the possible injuries to Leeds United players Joe Rodon and Crysencio Summerville.
On Wednesday, November 1, Farke will address the media and provide updates on five key concerns facing his team, including Stuart Dallas’s, Djed Spence’s, and Junior Firpo’s health. With a hamstring ailment, Rodon was substituted off against Huddersfield, and Summerville has been recovering from a shoulder injury sustained during play for several weeks.
In their blog post published in real time prior to the press conference, the Yorkshire Evening Post revealed their expectations for Thorp Arch within the next few hours.
They stated, “It is hoped Farke has good news on the likes of Crysencio Summerville, who complained of some discomfort at half-time against Huddersfield Town last weekend, and Joe Rodon, who was substituted during the second half after feeling something in his hamstring.” Updates on the fitness of Stuart Dallas, Djed Spence, and Junior Firpo are expected this afternoon.
In what should be the hardest match of the season against Leicester, Leeds and Farke will be desperate to have both Rodon and Summerville available.
The Dutch winger, who destroyed Huddersfield with two goals and two assists the previous time out, was taken off early more as a precaution and should be fine. Rodon is a major worry, especially if he has a hamstring problem. Caution is required to prevent further aggravation of the problem.
Everyone will be thinking about Liam Cooper’s poor performance from his last start against Southampton, even though he has been on the bench and is prepared to step in if necessary.
Based on previous updates, Spence and Dallas won’t be participating, but since Firpo has resumed full training at Thorp Arch, there’s a chance he will. Let’s hope for some positive news.
