After an impressive start to his Rangers loan spell, admirers have gathered around Europe for Abdallah Sima, as reported by Sussex Live.
Teams across the continent are known to regard the Brighton loanee highly following his stellar start to life in Glasgow, where he has scored five goals in the Scottish Premiership in ten games, according to an article published by the outlet on its website on Wednesday, November 1.
The 22-year-old’s performances thus far this season have impressed Rangers, but the loan agreement does not allow for a permanent transfer, so Philippe Clement’s team would need to work with Brighton to sign Sima.
Sima is reportedly content at Ibrox and loving his time in the Scottish Premiership, despite interest from overseas. The Light Blues may look into making the move permanent.
Will be difficult
Under Michael Beale’s direction, a great deal of the incoming business at Ibrox this summer has proven to be wasteful, with players like Sam Lammers and Cyriel Dessers doing little to entice fans out of their seats early in their careers.
Though Sima has improved as the season has gone on, the former Rangers manager’s addition of him to the team, along with Jack Butland in goal, has turned out to be one of his better transactions this summer.
The Brighton loanee has been a consistent goal threat and has scored some important goals in his brief Rangers career, so it should come as no surprise that the Light Blues want to extend his stay, especially in light of the fact that so many of Clement’s forwards have struggled to find the net on a regular basis.
Rangers won’t be the only team to notice the Senegalese forward’s stellar performance lately, though, and that will pique the interest of teams in the UK and abroad. The worry for the Gers is that more teams will want to sign the striker, which will raise his price even further.
If Sima is signed by a major European team after his loan at Ibrox, it will be difficult for the Light Blues to win, but if he stays happy in Scotland, he might be eager to spend more time there.
