Tottenham and several other Premier League teams are predicted to fail in their purported pursuit of a top Real Madrid player.

Toni Kroos, a Germany midfielder, has won numerous titles at the Bernabeu, but his playing time is beginning to decrease as Real Madrid looks to their younger midfield talent to assume the role previously occupied by Casemiro, Luka Modric, and Kroos himself. Federico Valverde, Aurelien Tchouameni, Eduardo Camavinga, and Jude Bellingham are currently making their marks in Madrid, while Bellingham has been an absolute sensation since leaving Borussia Dortmund in the summer.

To some extent, that means that players like Kroos and Modric are looking in from the outside. In light of the fact that the latter has expressed a desire to play in the Premier League in the past, it is said that he is being marketed, specifically, to English teams.

Ange Postecoglou, the manager of Tottenham, is reportedly interested in the player whose contract expires next summer as a result of this. Journalist Paul Brown, though, asserts that he “wouldn’t be surprised” if the 33-year-old chose to stay with Los Blancos.

Kroos might prolong Real’s stay
Though he will likely play fewer games going forward, Brown believes there is a chance Kroos signs a new contract. GiveMeSport was informed by him that “Toni Kroos is clearly being offered around to various clubs in Europe. There has been a lot of interest in him since his representatives made it known that he would like to play in the Premier League. Nobody has confirmed that as of yet, but he is a player that many Premier League clubs have previously tried to sign and coveted.

“At 33, he is no longer contributing to Real Madrid in the same significant way. I believe the stories are because his contract is about to expire.

“I don’t believe he has decided what action to take going forward. If he were to accept an offer of a new contract and remain at Real Madrid, it wouldn’t come as a major surprise. He is entertaining them with games. Kroos has won numerous titles in his nine years at the Bernabeu, including the World Cup with Germany in 2014. He has played 430 games for the Spanish powerhouses overall, contributing 120 goals to their score.

On Monday night, Tottenham will play again when they welcome back to the team Chelsea under former manager Mauricio Pochettino.
