Dr. Rajpal Brar, a specialist in injuries, is a welcome addition to our exclusive columnist lineup. He’ll be sharing his thoughts on Aston Villa’s injury situation every week.
Due to a metatarsal injury, Dr. Rajpal Brar predicts that attacking midfielder Jacob Ramsey of Aston Villa will miss the next few games.
The injury expert says the Englishman has been experiencing this as a recurrent setback in his quest to get back into the first team.
After suffering an injury in September, the 22-year-old has not appeared for Unai Emery’s team.
Regarding his setback, Villa News was informed by Dr. Brar, a sports scientist and physical therapist:
“Ramsey has been experiencing pain in the foot metatarsal area, which is the long toe bone, since suffering a recurrence of the injury.
The physiotherapists will work with him on and off the pitch to perform higher load drills and monitor his response.
“The club will be methodical in his return, so he will miss a few more games. He did suffer a setback, so he will have lighter sessions.”
Ramsey managed to score against Brighton despite playing just 49 league minutes for Villa this year.
That game, which the Villans ultimately won 6-1, was the last time he was seen playing before getting hurt.
The fact that the Englishman started 35 of the 38 Premier League games in the previous season demonstrates how crucial he was to Emery.
