Sevilla are planning to revive their interest in West Ham United midfielder Pablo Fornals in the January transfer window and believe ‘it will be easier’ to get him than in the summer.

That’s according to Vamos Mi Sevilla, who say one of the first plans for the winter window ‘will be to advance’ the arrival of Fornals to bolster the midfield.

They explain that with the January window two months away, clubs are already taking their positions and planning what they’ll do, and Sevilla are one of them.

In their case, the ‘roadmap’ involves adding signings to the club’s attacking areas as they believe the defence and midfield are well covered.
Therefore, one of the ‘first options’ will be to ‘advance the arrival’ of Fornals, who was a target throughout the summer.

They want to sign the Spaniard then but were unable to meet West Ham’s ‘financial expectations’ but by January he’ll only have six months left on his contract.

Because of that Sevilla believe that ‘it will be easier’ to get him out of the Premier League and they plan to make a move once again.

Whether they plan to offer West Ham a low transfer fee so they can avoid losing the player on a free or get Fornals signed to a pre-contract agreement isn’t mentioned.

It’s presumably the former as they think he’ll be easier to get, but Sevilla’s finances are known to be stretched so it remains to be seen what they can offer West Ham.
