On Saturday, November 4 at 3 p.m., West Brom will play Hull City in an EFL Championship game at the Hawthorn’s, returning to the adoration of their fans.
The Baggies take on their second match of the week following their 2-0 victory over Coventry City on Monday night in front of the Sky Sports television cameras. With goals in each half, Grady Diangana and Brandon Thomas-Asante sealed the victory and moved them into the Championship play-off spots. Over the weekend, Hull City emerged triumphant over Preston North End, thanks to a goal from Jaden Philogene, a former player for Aston Villa.
Hull and West Brom are now separated by two places, with a better goal differential of plus four separating the two teams. If Hull wins this weekend, it could go both ways for West Brom, who could move up to third with a win this weekend.
Over the most recent stretch of games, injuries have severely limited Carlos Corberan’s output; however, we are now in the penultimate round of games before the international break. It has been announced that a number of players may make their respective injury returns during November’s international break.
Jeremy Sarmiento, a Brighton & Hove Albion loanee who appears to have returned ahead of schedule, could be available for West Brom. Tyler Morton, a loanee from Liverpool, is anticipated to contribute to the Tigers this coming weekend, which is another positive development for Hull. 1. Semi Ajayi (West Bromwich Albion) – doubtful
Sidelined with an ankle ligaments problem. He didn’t play against Coventry City, and now we await to see if he’s fit for the weekend.
2. Semi Ajayi – doubtful (continued)
Carlos Corberan said to the Express & Star: Semi keeps having the injury. “I am in the same situation with this (a “miracle” for Ajayi to be ready), it’s a challenge. He has a grade two ligament (damage) of the ankle, it’s a different type of injury and we need to see how he progresses. “He’s making his best but he’s still a big question mark for the next game.
3. Regan Slater – out
He has a hamstring injury that he sustained in October. He could be out until the New Year. Liam Rosenior said he’d be out for the next eight weeks and that was on October 4.
4. Daryl Dike (West Bromwich Albion) – out
Has been out for a long while with a serious Achilles injury. Corberan recently said: “It will be late December or early January when the process finishes with Dike. I prepared the squad without thinking of Dike, until January. This is our current squad, but we plan the squad to have two strikers.
