Langley links up with Latics having trained with the club in the summer following his departure from Gateshead.
The 22-year-old came through the Newcastle United academy in his native north east, and was a regular in their youth teams up until the age of 20.
He then crossed the Tyne to spend some time with Gateshead last season, making 12 appearances as the Heed completed their first season back in the National League.
After a loan spell with Spennymoor at the end of the previous campaign, he joined Blyth Spartans in the summer.
Speaking after signing, Langley was delighted to complete the move.
“I was down here for a few weeks in the summer and saw what a good group there is with Magnus and Matt,” he said.
“I’m really delighted to be here and see if I can make my own mark, and kick on from there.”
Latics’ Goalkeeping Coach Steve Collis added that he believes Langley can enhance the group of ‘keepers at the club.
“I think it’s important to have three quality ‘keepers on our books, who will push each other and that’s what Dan will help us do,” said Collis.
“He’s still very young for a goalkeeper at 22, and he’s had experience at this level before which is fantastic.”
Latics head to League Two Newport tomorrow for an FA Cup first round tie.
