After suffering an injury in the season-ending match against Tottenham, Junior Firpo has not played a single minute for Leeds United. However, according to Leeds Live, he is expected to play against Leicester City.

The 27-year-old defender has been out till now due to a ligament issue. Sam Byram, who returned to the team in the summer, has put himself out there as a left-back in the interim.

However, Firpo is back in the mix after being spotted working out in the most recent LUTV video. Byram is playing well, so the defender will have his work cut out for him if he wants to return to the starting lineup.

He won’t be put in the starting lineup against a team that leads the table right now and has won 13 of its 14 League games. But it strengthens us to have the £12.8 million player back in the lineup.

Returning to the Leeds United team to take on Leicester City is Junior Firpo.
Leeds Live did, in fact, reveal the 23-man team that will play Leicester tonight. Yes, with nine substitutions now permitted, 20 players will be included in the matchday roster. Among the Leeds players on the list is Firpo. Charlie Cresswell, Ian Poveda, Ilia Gruev, Kris Klaesson, and other minor players are also a part of it. Despite being injury doubts, Byram, Joe Rodon, and Cree Summerville have been added. Leeds appears to have a formidable squad. However, Leeds’ League test this season won’t be any harder than their trip to Leicester, who seem destined to win everything. All of this adds up to an amazing competition.
