Daniel Farke was tasked with a massive overhaul in the summer after his team lost multiple key players through loans and low transfer fees, particularly in midfield.

However, he helped bring the club a much more solid setup, which may have answered the question of which midfield is better: Leeds or Leicester’s.

Glen Kamara shines once more.
Leeds’ toughest test yet was an away trip to Leicester City last Friday, with the home side boasting arguably the best squad in the division and a league position that only adds to the argument.

Leeds, on the other hand, came out on top, deserving their 1-0 victory after absorbing Leicester’s ‘pressure’ to score from a corner and then keeping them at bay late on as they gained more control of possession.

Glen Kamara in midfield assisted Ethan Ampadu in breaking up play and then demonstrating real quality in progressing through transitions, setting up multiple fast breaks for the attackers.

Kamara was a clear choice for the club’s post-match man of the match award:

Will he be let go anytime soon?
Such a performance in the season’s biggest game has undoubtedly cemented Kamara’s place in the squad indefinitely.

After joining from Rangers, the Finland international had to wait to cement his place, but in the process, he pushed Archie Grey to right-back, and there can be no regrets about that decision right now.

Grey is doing an excellent job at right-back, and Kamara is unstoppable in the middle alongside Ampadu.

Not only do we appear to be a very strong defensive force, but with the 28-year-old in possession, we are controlling games much more smoothly, creating chances that aren’t solely on counter-attacks. With Plymouth Argyle on the horizon tomorrow, there should be no reason for Kamara not to start in midfield if he is fit. Grey may not mind playing at right-back, but Kamara has effectively sealed his position in midfield.
